I am very privileged to be President of the NI Conservatives. This is a position that I have held since 2007.
I am keen to forge much closer ties with the Party in Northern Ireland, ensuring that they are all very much a part of the wider voluntary team.
On Wednesday 13th June 2012, I was honoured to be invited the address the launch of the new reconstituted NI Conservatives at the MAC in Belfast. To hear what I had to say, please do take a look at the video.
The newly launched NI Conservatives represents a fresh, pro-Union, centre-right party, which is proudly and distinctively Northern Irish. The new party is autonomous on devolved issues, but remains a full part of the UK Conservative Party.
The NI Conservatives are a dedicated team, and they deserve the Party's whole hearted thanks for keep the Conservative flag flying in what are not always the easiest of circumstances.
The Conservative Party is committed to bringing mainstream UK politics to Northern Ireland and Northern Ireland politicians into the UK mainstream.
The NI Conservatives have their own campaign office and a full-time employee, both based in Bangor. They are always pleased to welcome Conservative friends from the mainland!
